*NEW* Christmas Music Coming

4 min read

Hi friends!!! We've finally reached the "BER" months. I'm not sure what the weather is like where you live, but nestled next to the mountains, we are seeing leaves changing, colder nights, and more pleasant days. The stores are filling up with holiday everything. And people are starting to look for Christmas music!

Some of you have asked what we have coming this year. I'm so excited to share that we have:

Not one.

Not two.

But THREE new Christmas songs.

They're all different in style and theme, and I love them all.

If you want a little preview, I'll share a bit about each song, the lyrics, and release dates.

Song # 1: "I'll Sing My Hallelujahs (Go Tell It on the Mountain)"

Since so many of you love a good mashup, my (not real) little sis Allie Gardner and I decided to weave one of the most JOYFUL Christmas songs, "Go Tell It on the Mountain," into a brand new song called "I'll Sing My Hallelujahs." This one is a blast and a half! It's upbeat, bouncy, and full of praise. We've already filmed the music video, and it will be ready to share on September 26th.

Here are the lyrics: "I"ll Sing My Hallelujahs (Go Tell It on the Mountain)"

Music & Lyrics by Angie Killian, Allie Gardner, and John W. Work Jr.

If I had been an angel

In little Bethlehem

When baby Jesus came to earth

I’d tell the world of Him

I’d shout it from the heavens

I’d sing with all my soul

But just like Christmas angels

I’ll let the whole world know

I’ll sing my hallelujahs

Over the hills and everywhere!

I’ll sing my hallelujahs!

Jesus Christ is born!

Oh, hallelujah!

Hallelujah!

I’ll sing my hallelujahs!

Jesus Christ is born!

I’ll share the news like shepherds

Who ran to tell their friends

Our Jesus came to save the world

He’s coming back again

I’ll shout it from the heavens

I’ll sing with all my soul

And just like Christmas shepherds

I’ll let the whole world know

I’ll sing my hallelujahs

Over the hills and everywhere!

I’ll sing my hallelujahs!

Jesus Christ is born!

Oh, hallelujah!

Hallelujah!

I’ll sing my hallelujahs!

Jesus Christ is born!

Go! Tell it on the mountain

Over the hills and everywhere

I’ll go tell it on the mountain:

Jesus Christ is born

(Sing parts together)

Part 1:

I’ll sing my hallelujahs

Over the hills and everywhere!

I’ll sing my hallelujahs!

Jesus Christ is born!

Oh, hallelujah!

Hallelujah!

I’ll sing my hallelujahs!

Jesus Christ is born!

Part 2:

Go! Tell it on the mountain

Over the hills and everywhere!

I’ll go tell it on the mountain:

Jesus Christ is born!

Oh, hallelujah!

Hallelujah!

Go! Tell it on the mountain

Jesus Christ is born!

Jesus Christ is born

Song # 2: "Still"

I wrote "Still" with one of my favorite co-writers, Joelle Einerson. We borrowed four notes and one word from "Still, Still, Still," and you'll hear it woven throughout the song. My favorite part of the song is the piano arrangement; it has to be one of the most beautiful piano accompaniments we've ever done, and I had a lot of fun co-arranging it with Daniel Blomberg. We are filming the music video TOMORROW and plan to release it on October 10th. We will also be sharing a mixed-choir version of this song that is oh so pretty.

On a silent night, on a holy night

All was calm, and the stars were bright

In the air was a lullaby

Whispered from the sky

Still, still, still

Still, still, still

The Savior born in Bethlehem

He is with me still

Still, still, still

Still, still, still

Halleluiah! I sing for Him

He is with me still

While Mary held little Jesus close

Safe and warm, wrapped in swaddling clothes

Joseph knelt in the lantern light

Watching by their side

Still, still, still

Still, still, still

The Savior born in Bethlehem

He is with me still

Still, still, still

Still, still, still

Halleluiah! I sing for Him

He is with me still

I do not have to touch his tiny hands

To feel his peace

His love is always holding me

His presence never leaves

Still, still, still

Still, still, still

The Savior born in Bethlehem

He is with me still

Still, still, still

Still, still, still

Halleluiah! I sing for Him

He is with me still

Song # 3: "A Christmas that Whispers 'Jesus'"

I'm not sure if it was a mug or a doormat or a shirt or a wooden sign, but I saw the phrase "I want a Christmas that whispers, 'Jesus'" and I knew it had to be a song.

I'm teaming up with my dear friends at Firefly and Standout Performing Arts for a country-inspired collab. With piano, guitar, cello, mandolin, and a choir full of beautiful, talented children, this one gives me all the Christmas feels. It's coming a little later in the year, shortly after Thanksgiving

In the busy of the season

It’s easy to forget the reason

For the holidays

But in moments life is quiet

Softly, sweetly, I’m reminded

Why we celebrate

I want a Christmas

That whispers, “Jesus”

Sacred and silent nights

With heaven’s light

To shine for me

Singing and stories

Praising His glory

Sharing His perfect love

With everyone

Who needs His peace

I want a Christmas

That whispers, “Jesus”

Wrapping friends in happy greetings

Making room for those who need me

Warming hearts and homes

Taking time to be together

Making mem’ries we will treasure

Feeling heaven close

I want a Christmas

That whispers, “Jesus”

Sacred and silent nights

With heaven’s light

To shine for me

Singing and stories

Praising His glory

Sharing His perfect love

With everyone

Who needs His peace

I want a Christmas

That whispers, “Jesus”

(Jesus)

Jesus (Jesus)

Emanuel

The Prince of Peace

Jesus (Jesus)

Jesus (Jesus)

The Lord of all

The King of Kings

I want a Christmas

That whispers, “Jesus”

Sacred and silent nights

With heaven’s light

To shine for me

Singing and stories (Ahh)

Praising His glory (Ahh)

Sharing His perfect love (Ahh)

With everyone

Who needs His peace

I want a Christmas

That whispers, “Jesus”

I want a Christmas

That whispers, “Jesus”
