About the Illustrator
Alyssa Harper studied drawing and painting at Utah State University. Her work has always included the creativity and playfulness children, and her own children often appear as inspiration for her pieces. Her great passion of illustration and picture books led her into the world of freelance illustrating. Currently, she lives and works in Salt Lake City, Utah. “My Own Sacred Grove” is her first picture book.
