Coming Soon: "Kind Like Christ"

"Never start doing anything you don't intend on doing for the rest of your life" was the piece of advice my Gram gave me when I got married. I refer back to this nugget almost every day, and–to be completely honest–it has saved me lots of lawn mowing.

Fast forward 17 years to when my oldest son turned 8..

I searched high and low for a song that said everything I wanted him to know about promises he was making with Heavenly Father. Spoiler alert: I couldn't find one. So I wrote, "Step by Step." We recorded it and filmed a super sweet music video. It made his day so special, and it has transformed into a priceless treasure for my family.

And then I thought about that gem of knowledge my Gram had bestowed upon me and realized I had two other children who would now expect their very own song and video, too. Cue the face palm.

For my daughter, I wrote "Always Remember." We had the sweetest "Jesus" actor come out from California to film a video with us, and it turned out so precious! This one recently hit 1 million views on YouTube, and I'm so grateful that so many appreciate it.

My youngest son's song came backwards: I actually planned the music video before I even wrote down a single word. I could see so many beautiful details and knew it was going to be adorable!

"Kind Like Christ" was written with Becky Willard and is officially ready to share in a few days. The music turned out so so great (thank you, Becky!) And it's one of the most magical videos I've ever dreamed up, and seeing it come to life is seriously inspiring. Huge thanks for Josh for bringing my vision to life and for Shelena Shamo and her crew who brought the magic.

Looking back, I realize that Gram's advice was about more than just yardwork–it's about being intentional with your time, creating healthy habits, and making beautiful memories.
