NEW Christmas Song Coming October 12th

Here's a little sneak-peek shot that one of the parents sent me. How cute are these kiddos?

Hi! I'm Angie. And I LOVE Christmas music.

I try to write and share at least one new Christmas song per year... some years it's 2. This year is undecided. But there will definitely be one beautiful new Christmas song coming your way on October 12th. I wrote this one with one of my besties, Allie Gardner, and it is so special. Upbeat feel, beautiful melody, and wonderful message. It's written with a 6/8 feel that I adore for holiday music. I can't wait for you to hear it! (If you are extra impatient and trust me completely, the sheet music and mp3s are already up in the shop HERE.)

**Update: you can watch the video HERE.

Here are the lyrics (the bridge is my favorite part):

Sing for the King

By Angie Killian & Allie Gardner

On a sleepy, starry night

Angels opened up the sky

Pouring joy and heaven’s light

Spreading news from God on high

Go, tell everyone

“Jesus has come”

Sing! Sing for the King of Kings!

Sing! Sing for the Prince of Peace!

Joy to the world! A Savior is Born!

Come and rejoice in Christ the Lord!

Sing! Sing for the King!

Sing! Sing for the King!

Careful shepherds guarding sheep

Heard the angels’ jubilee

Found the baby, fast asleep

Worshiped Him on bended knee

Go, tell everyone

“Jesus has come”

Sing! Sing for the King of Kings!

Sing! Sing for the Prince of Peace!

Joy to the world! A Savior is Born!

Come and rejoice in Christ the Lord!

Sing! Sing for the King!

Sing! Sing for the King!

I don’t have to kneel at His feet

I don’t have to see to believe

I will go, tell everyone

“Jesus has come”

Sing! Sing for the King of Kings!

Sing! Sing for the Prince of Peace!

Joy to the world! A Savior is Born!

Come and rejoice in Christ the Lord!

Sing! Sing for the King!

Sing! Sing for the King!

Sing! Sing for the King!

I think it means that we don't have to be near Him physically to worship Him.

My kids really love this song. You guys are great and your songs are really touching. I was searching for a music only for the Sing for the Kings song so that my kids can sing during their pre Christmas celebration at the locality but I couldn't find. I really wish there is. Anyways your songs are awesome.

I too have same question about this line- "I don't have to Kneel at His feet"

Hi there! Totally understand your question. It definitely needs context of the following line: I don't have to kneel at His feet; I don't have to see to believe. It references the shepherds and wisemen. Even though we didn't kneel at His cradle or see the Savior with our own eyes, we can choose to believe. John 20:29, "Blessed are those who have not seen, and have yet believed.”

Beautiful song, I have a question, why you said I don’t have to kneel at His feet?
